Privacy Policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

Pulse is a set of apps for convenience stores and small food-service businesses (Pulse, Pulse Books, Pulse Kitchen, Pulse Admin and related apps on cstorepulse.com). Pulse is provided by Empire Innovations (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

The short version

  • Your store's data belongs to your business. We keep it to run Pulse for you.
  • We do not sell personal information or store data, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • You can export your data at any time, and ask us to delete it.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, the business and stores you belong to, and your role. Accounts are created by invitation from your business or from us.
  • Sign-in details: if you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, we receive your name, email address and an account ID from that provider. We use them only to sign you in. We do not receive your password for those services and we do not read your email, files or contacts.
  • Store business data: data your business connects or uploads, such as sales and fuel reports from your point-of-sale system, tank readings, supplier invoices and statements, and the records you create in the apps.
  • Device and usage details: a sign-in cookie, your display preferences, notification subscriptions if you turn on alerts, and basic logs (such as IP address, browser type and errors) that keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

  • To provide Pulse: show your numbers, send the alerts you choose, and keep your records.
  • To sign you in and keep accounts secure.
  • To support you, and to fix and improve the service.
  • To read documents you send in (such as invoices) using automated tools, including AI models. Their output is always a draft that a person at your business reviews before anything is saved or sent.

Information we receive from Google, Microsoft or Apple sign-in is used only to sign you in. It is not used for advertising and is not shared except as needed to run the service.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run Pulse for us, under contracts that limit their use of it: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and AI processing (through Vercel's AI Gateway). We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and service. If Empire Innovations is sold or merged, your data would move with the service under this policy.

Within your business, people with access to Pulse can see that business's data according to their role. One business can never see another business's data.

Where it is kept and how it is protected

Data is stored in the United States. It is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each business's data is separated from every other business at the database level.

How long we keep it

We keep your business's data while your business uses Pulse. When your business stops using Pulse, you can export it, and we delete it on request or after a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

  • Export your business's data from the apps as CSV files at any time.
  • Turn alerts and notifications on or off in Settings.
  • Ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing admin@cstorepulse.com.

Children

Pulse is a business tool and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell account owners about important changes before they take effect.
